Roadmap Transfer - 2 year: History, B.A.

Year 1 - 30 units


Fall Junior - 15 units


  • Units: 3
  • Needs to be completed with a C- or better to meet GWAR requirement.

  • Units: 3
  • Units may vary between 3-4 units depending on language chosen; if language has been met change to Free Elective.

  • Student’s Choice of Major Elective course.  Units: 3
    Notes: Students should select at least three courses from North America History, at least three courses from World History, at least two courses from Thematic History, and 1 additional course from North America or World History.​
  • Student’s Choice of Major Elective course.  Units: 3
    Notes: Students should select at least three courses from North America History, at least three courses from World History, at least two courses from Thematic History, and 1 additional course from North America or World History.​
  • Student’s Choice of Free Elective Course. Units: 3 
    Needed for 120 Unit Requirement - Can be any class, any major, any level 100-499 that you have not earned previous credit for. 
  •  

    Recommendations/Notes:

    • This two-year roadmap assumes that all GE’s and Lower Division Major Requirements have been completed.
    • Schedule an appointment with an Academic Advisor in the Academic Advising Center
    • Attend Major Fair (First Week of October)

Spring Junior - 15 units

  • If US Constitution/State & Local Gov’t has been met change to Free Elective.

  • Take one of the following to meet HIST Elective & UDGE-D HIST 339 or 340 or 342 or 343 or 349 or 351 or 401 or 402 or 436 or 442

  • Student’s Choice of Major Elective course . Units: 3 
    Notes: Students should select at least three courses from North America History, at least three courses from World History, at least two courses from Thematic History, and 1 additional course from North America or World History. 
  • Student’s Choice of Free Elective Course. Units: 3 
    Needed for 120 Unit Requirement - Can be any class, any major, any level 100-499 that you have not earned previous credit for.

    Complete one of the following:

  • Units: 3
  • Should enroll the semester prior to Capstone or Internship.

  • Student’s Choice of Major Elective course . Units: 3
