About
The Channel Islands Degree Planner is a digital tool that assists in planning a student’s degree pathway from the time they are admitted up to when they graduate CI. The Degree Planner uses data from a student’s CI Academic Requirements Report (CARR) to generate the best possible path to graduation based only on requirements that have not yet been completed. This tool recognizes Transfer Credit, Test Credit, and enrollment history when generating a student’s path.

Beginning Tips
When first exploring your Degree Planner, here are some important items to note:
Welcome Screen
The Welcome Screen is the landing page of the Degree Planner. Students will see this if it is their first time accessing the tool, or if users have not checked the “do not display” box.
Take your Time
Take the time to look at your Degree Planner and become familiar with its elements. Explore what requirements need to be completed, what order the Degree Planner is suggesting completing them, and the number of semesters it may take to complete your degree.
Customize your Degree Pathway
Degree Planner starts off with a pre-suggested path determined by Program Faculty. This path is not a student’s only option to completing their degree requirements. The Degree Planner can be customized to a student’s preferences. Students can move & select courses, adjust units, lock requirements, consider alternate majors/minors, consider alternate pathways to completing their current degree, and even plan out Summer/Winter sessions. The Degree Planner automatically saves the adjustments students make, so there is no need to worry about writing down the decisions that have been made.
If you have any questions about the Degree Planner, please contact an Academic Advisor at advisement@csuci.edu or the Student Systems Office at student.systems@csuci.edu.
