- Student Choice of Language Requirement Corequisites Course . Units: 4
Students need to complete a Language other than English through the intermediate level (For example, through SPAN 202), or demonstrate equivalent proficiency as approved by the CI Global Languages & Cultures faculty. ASL courses will not be accepted.

- Speak to Global Studies director about Model United Nations research opportunities
- Attend at least one research presentation on campus (or off)
- Attend one or more International Education Week events (third week in November)
- Visit Study Abroad office to discuss and possibly apply for required Study Abroad

Recommendations/Notes - Seek a leadership position in a student organization (if not studying abroad)
- Prepare a resume
- Apply for internships, study abroad, and/or a research opportunity
- Meet with Academic Advising for a degree progress check
- Meet w/ Graduate Studies Center and explore graduate degrees
- Begin graduate school test preparation (if applicable)
- Meet w/ Career Development Services
- Review faculty biographies and publications; connect with at least one faculty member working in area of interest to the student
- Attend at least one research presentation on campus (or off)
- Make appointment to meet with Global Studies director to discuss research interests
- Create or update LinkedIn Profile; be certain to connect with faculty and other professionals working in areas of interest
- Explore Peace Corps Prep Program
- Attend Grad School Fair
- Consider applying for a research internship in international affairs (virtual)
- Attend one or more International Education Week events (third week in November)
