Roadmap Transfer - 2 year: Art History, B.A.

The Art Program at CSU Channel Islands integrates traditional media with emerging digital technologies in graphic design, multimedia, fine art, art history with a focus on interdisciplinary studies to develop a solid foundation leading to advanced work in art media and theory.

Year 1 - 30 units


Fall Junior - 15 units


  • Units: 3
  • Student’s Choice of  ARTH Group I course . Units: 3 
    ARTH334 - The Business of Art can double dip in Group I of the ARTH major and count towards UDGE-D. Please note that double dipping in this specific course is not mandatory, feel free to view the catalog for additional options for Group I courses and take a UDGE-D course seperately in Fall Senior semester​ in place of a “Free Elective”.
  • Student’s Choice of  ARTH Group I course . Units 3
    Please view catalog for Group II course options.
  • Units: 3
  • Units may vary between 3-4 units depending on language chosen. Also, double-counts with C2. Take this course if still needed.Otherwise, take a Free Elective.

    Needed for 120 Unit Requirement - Can be any class, any major, any level 100-499 that you have not earned previous credit for.

    • This two-year roadmap assumes that all GE’s and Lower Division Major Requirements have been completed.
    • Schedule an appointment with an Academic Advisor in the Academic Advising Center
    • Attend Major Fair (First Week of October)
    • Meet with Art Program Faculty Advisor for information on Art History offerings and tailored course recommendations.

  • Art, B.A. Art History - 120 units . Units: 3
    Note: ARTH333, ARTH370, and ARTH376 triple dip in Group III of the ARTH major and count towards UDGE-C and the Multicultural Perspectives requirement. Please note that triple dipping in these specific courses is not mandatory, feel free to view the catalog for additional options for Group III courses and take both UDGEC and Multicultural Perspective courses in Spring Junior.
