ANTH 416 - Military and Industrialization Impacts on Peoples of the Past Units: 3 Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite(s): ANTH 102 or ANTH 105 or consent of instructor Recommended: Junior standing Evaluates the economic, environmental, and sociocultural impacts associated with past industrialism and military activities. Using archaeological evidence, historical writing, and oral history accounts, students reconstruct the social and cultural heritage of people impacted by these activities and government policies. In turn, the development of a holistic localized history offers a new perspective that embraces historically marginalized communities and individuals. Graded: Letter Grade
