Lower Division Requirements - 23 units
Of the 60 units (minimum) that applicants for the Completion BS program need to apply, these are lower division courses required by the major and the emphasis, to a total of 23 units. Additional units in lower division courses will be needed to complete remaining GE Areas, American Institutions, language and multicultural requirements. Note: Students may substitute equivalent courses taken at other universities in each area by articulation agreement or by permission of the Department of Health Sciences. Upper Division Requirements - 27 units
Upper division requirements add up to 27 units, including HLTH 348 which fulfills UDGE-D. Therefore, they will need 6 additional units to fulfill UDGE requierements, leaving a minimum of 14 units for electives. Required Courses - 27 units
This 27 units include HLTH 348, which is an UDGE-4 course. Major Electives - 14 units
The number of units in electives will depend on each student’s academic transcript. However, assuming they bring 70 transfer units, and 27 are required courses (which includes UDGE-4), they still need 6 units in UDGEs. That leaves 14 units for electives, taken from HLTH-prefix courses not completed above. Students that transfer with less than 70 units will be required to take additional electives, either from HLTH-prefix courses or from other disciplines, as approved by the Department. |
