Fall Junior - 15 units
- CHS 331 - Interdisciplinary Writing in Chicana/o Studies Units: 3
Meets major and GWAR requirement with C- or better - GE 3B - Student’s Choice of GE Area 3B Humanities: Languages Other than English course - 3 units Units: 3
If the language requirement has not been met, take any lower division Spanish or Mixtec language course. Otherwise, take a Free Elective. - Student’s Choice of Art and Culture Course. Units: 3

- Student’s Choice of Major History and Society Course. Units: 3
(HIST 350 meets the US History graduation requirement) CHS 350 is offered every semester. See catalog for list of courses and descriptions.
- Student’s Choice of HIST - US History course. Units: 3
Choose one: HIST 270, 271, 272, 275, or CHS 350. Take this course if still needed. Consider taking HIST 350 if US History has not been met or another US History course. Otherwise, take a Free Elective.
Recommendations/Notes
- This two-year roadmap assumes that all GE’s and Lower Division Major Requirements have been completed.
- Join NACCS at student membership rate
- Meet with CHS faculty advisor if declaring a Double Major with either Spanish or History with Chicana/o Studies
- Attend H.S.I. Week of Events
- Attend CHS Open House
- Attend Campus Involvement Fair
- Attend Majors Fair in October to find a Minor
- Participate in Latino Male Retreat to Santa Rosa Island
- Meet with Advisor about Graduate School and internship options
- Meet with Career Development & Alumni Engagement to discuss internship/job opportunities
- Meet with CHS faculty advisor to discuss career options and curricular plans
