The Minor in Environmental Science & Resource Management (ESRM) provides students across disciplines with an interdisciplinary foundation in environmental science, policy, and applied problem-solving. Students complete a core that introduces them to environmental systems, sustainability, ethics, and policy while gaining practical skills in geographic information systems (GIS) and field or applied management. Through electives, students may tailor the minor to their interests in conservation biology, environmental justice, physical processes, sustainability, or applied resource management. The program emphasizes flexibility and accessibility while ensuring that all minors experience the scientific, ethical, and policy dimensions of environmental challenges.
