The Art Program at CSU Channel Islands integrates traditional media with emerging digital technologies in graphic design, multimedia, fine art, art history with a focus on interdisciplinary studies to develop a solid foundation leading to advanced work in art media and theory.

Fall Junior - 15 units
- ARTH 301 - Proseminar in Art History Units: 3
Prereq: two from ARTH 101, 201, 202, 203, 204. Meets Fridays 9-11:50 AM; requires off-site travel. OFFERED FALL TERM ONLY. - Student’s Choice of ARTH Group I course. Units: 3
ARTH334 - The Business of Art can double dip in Group I of the ARTH major and count towards UDGE-4. Please note that double dipping in this specific course is not mandatory, feel free to view the catalog for additional options for Group I courses and take a UDGE-4 course seperately in Spring Senior semester in place of a “Free Elective” - Student’s Choice of ARTH Group II course. Units 3

Recomendations/Notes
- Assumes completion of AA-T degree.
- CCID ARTH 100 = CI ARTH 101. ARTH 101 counts for lower division major credit at CI; ensure CCID ARTH 100 articulates as ARTH 101, not general lower division credit.
- Meet with the Art History advisor to discuss course planning and career objectives.
- Research graduate and professional school options.
- Students are advised to take courses of interest in Groups I, II, and III when they are offered, as not all courses are offered each term or year. The listing of Groups I, II, and III in this roadmap is descriptive, not prescriptive!
- The major includes up to 24 open units at the upper-division level; consider using these to add a minor. This program CANNOT be completed in fewer than 4 regular semesters (fall & spring).

Note: ARTH333, ARTH370, and ARTH376 triple dip in Group III of the ARTH major and count towards UDGE-3 and the Multicultural Perspectives requirement. Please note that triple dipping in these specific courses is not mandatory, feel free to view the catalog for additional options for Group III courses and take both UDGE-3 and Multicultural Perspective courses in Fall Senior. - POLS 150 - American Political Institutions Units: 3
