    Needed for 120 Unit Requirement - Can be any class, any major, any level 100-299 that you have not earned previous credit for. Students are recommended to take a 300-level ARTH course. Students planning to study abroad in Semester 6 should take ARTH 301 this term.

    ARTH334 - The Business of Art can double dip in Group I of the ARTH major and count towards UDGE-4. Please note that double dipping in this specific course is not mandatory, feel free to view the catalog for additional options for Group I courses and take a UDGE-4 course seperately in Spring Senior.

    Recommendations/Notes 

    • Students are advised to take courses of interest in Groups I, II, and III when they are offered, as not all courses are offered each term or year. The listing of Groups I, II, and III in this roadmap is descriptive, not prescriptive!
    • Meet with the Art History Faculty Advisor to discuss internship opportunities; apply to spring/summer programs.  If you receive a spring internship, register for ARTH 492: Internship (speak with the Art Program Faculty Advisor).
    • The major includes up to 23 open units in Sem. 5–8; consider adding a minor.
    • Meet with Graduate Studies Center to discuss graduate school programs
    • Meet with Career Development & Alumni Engagement to discuss internship/job opportunities

    • Research graduate and professional school options.
    • Consider taking the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
    • Students who plan to obtain an MA or PhD in Art History should continue foreign language study (French, German, or a language relevant to planned area of specialization).
    • Apply to summer/fall internship opportunities. If you receive a fall internship, register for ARTH 492: Internship (speak with the Art Program Faculty Advisor).
