Upper Division Requirements - 27 units
The upper division English core is designed to provide students with a broad background in literature, solid foundations in theory and criticism, and experience in writing to learn. Option in Multicultural Literatures and Social Change - 12 units
The Multicultural Literatures and Social Change Option provides English majors the opportunity to explore the literatures of various cultures and ethnic groups while examining the critical frameworks that address social inequity, oppression, and movements for social change. Students will study literature broadly defined to include fiction, nonfiction, poetry, drama, and film, while also engaging with language studies and writing practices that intersect with questions of community and justice. |
