		Lower Division Requirements - 31-33 units
 Student must obtain a grade of C- or better in each of these courses to apply them to the Math Major. Complete one from the following:

  - Students planning on teaching math must choose MATH 492 for their field experience requirement. Other courses recommended tor teaching careers are marked with a “T”.

   Emphasis in Pure Mathematics - 12 units
 An emphasis is required for completion of the B.S. in Mathematics. In order to plan their electives, students should choose their emphasis by the end of their sophomore year.
