Program Description

The mission of the Bachelor’s degre in Health Science is to prepare future health professionals who are competentcompassionate, creative and critical thinkers, and whose work addresses health disparities in the community. Our vision is a just and equitable world of physically, mentally, and socially healthy people living in healthy communities.

Our interdisciplinary degree program combines the knowledge and skills from multiple disciplines to provide rigorous training in health science. The curriculum includes a set of core courses and several elective courses that each student chooses in consultation with an academic advisor.

Careers

For students who envision a career with direct patient care (Physical Therapists, Nurses, Doctors, Dentists, etc.) the Health Science major offers a curriculum that will allow them to enter clinical graduate education, as required by those professions. The program also prepares students for careers in the multidisciplonary domain of health: in hospital administration, hospital records management, health promotion and education, program evaluation, health data researcher and public health.
