COMM 328 - Community-Based Digital Storytelling Units: 3 Three hours lecture per week Students develop an understanding of the critical role of local storytelling in supporting diverse communities and social change in the digital age. Provides an overview of the sociological and technological forces transforming today’s communities and local storytelling, as well as theories on the intersection between local democracy and grassroot narratives. Case studies on local storytelling innovations and citizen-driven initiatives are used to help illustrate the concepts and theories discussed. Graded: Letter Grade
