Foundations of the practice of data science. Exploration and implementation of the data science life cycle in locally relevant contexts. Emphasis on statistical thinking and computer programming required to collect, prepare and analyze data numerically, visually and algorithmically, and to ethically communicate findings. Introduction to machine learning.
