ECS 486 - Early Childhood Student Teaching II: PK/TK Units: 3 Variable hours per week Prerequisite(s): ECS 450 , ECS 460 , ECS 461 , ECS 465 and Senior standing and Program permission Corequisite(s): ECS 475 , ECS 480 , ECS 484 Early Childhood teaching experience in preschool and/or transitional kindergarten settings under the supervision of a mentor teacher and a university student teacher supervisor focusing culturally and developmentally appropriate teaching practices. Involves development, application, practice and reflection of teaching curriculum and assessment strategies in culturally diverse early childhood settings. Program permission required. Students must complete field site requirements such as a Negative TB Skin Test (less than a year old), immunization record, Live scan fingerprinting, or Certificate of Clearance. Some sites may have additional requirements. Graded: Letter Grade
