DATA 499 - Data Science Capstone

Three hours lecture per week
Prerequisite(s): DATA 426 and MATH 430
In the capstone course, students will synthesize what they have learned and apply that knowledge to new, complex situations. Students will engage in the entire process of solving a real-world data science problem, from collecting and processing actual data, applying suitable and appropriate analytic methods to the problem, and communicating the results in a clear and comprehensible way. This course will emphasize a good understanding of the foundational knowledge and the domain area, and prepare students for future professional endeavors.
