ANTH 482 - Material Culture Practicum

Six hours laboratory per week
Prerequisite(s): ANTH 380  or Consent of Instructor
A practical course focused on all steps of archaeological material cultural analysis in a laboratory setting. Students create databases, analyze artifacts, and complete professional scientific reports. Lab data collection and analyses are completed in person. Material type focus changes each semester, and may include flaked stone, groundstone, shell, historic material, and zooarchaeology. Repeat 3 times up to 6 units
