ARTH 376 - Contemporary Art (1970-present): Looking, Thinking, Writing

Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of Golden Four GE Areas (1A, 1B, 1C, 2)
A writing intensive course that examines the major visual components of global contemporary culture. This course will explore a wide range of issues related to the multicultural identities of contemporary postmodern culture. Developments in the late 20^th and early 21^st centuries in film, performance, digital media, and critical theory as well as such traditional visual forms of expression as painting and sculpture will be discussed.
