COMP 121 - Introduction to Programming in C for STEAM Units: 3 Two hours lecture and three hours lab per week This course introduces students to problem-solving through rigorous reasoning, emphasizing logical analysis, structured programming, and critical evaluation of information using the C programming language. Students will develop inductive and deductive reasoning skills by designing, implementing, testing, and debugging computational solutions. The course includes evaluating information sources, assessing program correctness, and understanding ethical computing practices, including intellectual property, data privacy, and algorithmic bias. Through collaborative coding exercises, structured discussions, and real-world applications, students will learn to deliberate, justify their programming decisions, and critically analyze computational approaches.
