PAMU 263 - Music Theory and Analysis II

Units: 3
Three hours lecture per week
Prerequisite(s):  PAMU 162  and PAMU 163 , both with grade of C- or better
Corequisite(s): PAMU 264  
Recommended: PAMU 162  and PAMU 163 , both with grade of B or better within the past two semesters
Expands upon the contrapuntal voice leading and harmonization techniques from the prerequisite courses. Topics include voice leading, diatonic harmony, introduction to chromatic harmony, intermediate music analysis, and composition. Effective fall 2022, changed from PAMU 361.
