PHYS 200 - General Physics I Units: 4 Three hours lecture and three hours laboratory per week Prerequisite(s): MATH 150 Calculus-based introduction to the concepts and principles of physics. The areas covered include: classical and fluid mechanics, oscillatory motion, and mechanical waves. Practical examples will be used to illustrate the relationship between physics and other disciplines, including the life sciences, and to develop problem-solving skills. Laboratory sessions will include hands-on experiments and data analysis, and a minimum of two formal lab reports will be required. Lab Fee $25 Graded: Letter Grade GenEd: B1, B3
