ANTH 378 - Public Archaeology

Three hours lecture per week
Focuses on the practice of archaeology, as well as public perceptions and uses of archaeology. Considers the challenges of dealing with the many public concerns with the archaeological record, including museum interpretation, indigenous perspectives, public archaeology programs, ecotourism, looting, and vandalism. Fieldtrips may be undertaken.
