COMM 455 - Community Leadership Field Study

Three hours lecture per week
Applies theories of leadership and community engagement to address complex community issues. Through field trips, contact with community leaders and guest speakers, students will be exposed to critical issues facing the local Ventura community. Building on this knowledge, students will work with a community partner to conduct community-based research, engage in community outreach projects and develop field studies to learn how to apply leadership theory and to address specific community concerns.
