ESRM 328 - The Why of Where: Foundations in GIS Units: 3
ESRM 328 double-counts as an UDGE-5.
GE 3B - Student’s Choice of GE Area 3B Humanities: Languages Other than English course - 3 units Units: 3
Units vary 3-4 units depending on course chosen. Also, double-counts with 3B. Take this course if still needed. Otherwise, take a course towards your major.
Complete one from the following:
ESRM 335 - The Beach Units: 3
ESRM 335 double-counts as an UDGE-5.
ESRM 341 - The National Park Units: 3
ESRM 341 double-counts as an UDGE-4.
Complete one from the following:
ESRM 352 - Theory and Practice of Ecological Restoration Units: 3
ESRM 365 - Natural History And Resource Management Of The California Channel Islands (Cross-listed as ANTH 365) Units: 3

- Schedule an appointment with an Academic Advisor in the Academic Advising Center.
- Students pursuing the Environmental Technologies Certificate or interested in drones should take ESRM 370 in the Fall to satisfy their Field Experience and ESRM 335 in the Spring.
- Meet with Graduate Studies Center to discuss graduate school programs.
- Meet with the ESRM program Faculty Advisor at least once in your Junior year (either in the Fall or Spring semester).
- Attend Major Fair (First Week of October).

Spring Junior - 17 units

ESRM 303 - Data Visualization and Climate Communication Units: 3
ESRM 329 - Environmental Law and Policy Units: 3
Student’s Choice of Field Experience. Units: 4
This requirement can be satisfied by either one 4-unit course or a combination of a 3-unit and 1-unit or else multiple 3-unit courses. If pursuing the Environmental Technologies Certificate, consider taking ESRM 370 in the fall for the Field Experience and taking one of the other fall courses in the spring.
Student’s Choice of HIST - US History course. Units: 3
Choose one: HIST 270, 271, 272, 275, or CHS 350. If you have already completed this requirement, take a course towards the major.

ESRM 300 - Coastal Contaminants and Ecotoxicology Units: 4

Take a total of 2 units towards the ESRM Electives Requirement. A total of 8 units of ESRM Electives are required to graduate. If the required 8 units of ESRM are completed, choose any ESRM Electives as needed to fulfill 120 units.
