 A concentration is required for completion of the B.S. in Mathematics.  By the end of their sophomore year, in order to plan their electives, students should decide on one of the following concentrations:  An individualized concentration is possible upon approval of the mathematics advisor. Actuarial Sciences/Economics - 9 units
 Applied Mathematics - 9 units
 Biomathematics - 10 units
 Students selecting this concentration should take BIOL 201   Business Management - 9 units
 Cognitive Science - 10 units
 Computer Science - 9 units
 Students selecting this concentration should take COMP 150  and COMP 151  for the computer science requirements. Imaging - 6 units
 Students selecting this concentration should take PHYS 200  and PHYS 201  (8) as the science sequence. Physics - 6 units
 Students selecting this concentration should take PHYS 200  and PHYS 201  (8) as the science sequence. Pure Mathematics - 9 units
 Additional General Education and other Graduation Requirements - 40-51 units
 To graduate, students must complete 120 units minimum (40 units must be upper division) including all General Education  (GE) and Graduation Requirements  .  The following areas must be included:   - Additional lower division A-E GE requirements not met within major
  - Nine units of Upper Division Interdisciplinary GE (UDIGE) courses, numbered 330-349 or 430-449. Six units may be within major, three units must be outside major (C or better grades)
