Mathematics Minor: Statistics and Data Analytics - 24 units

Students in this minor will study modern techniques for analyzing, mining, reducing and statistically describing data from variety of sources such as multimedia, social media and the Internet. Computer software tools will be used to apply quantitative methods, statistical modeling and analysis of an ever increasing volume and detail of information. Students will acquire practical analytical software skills and learn how to make decisions based on data analysis.
