SPAN 316 - Introduction to Spanish Linguistics II Units: 3 Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite(s): SPAN 201 and SPAN 202 ; or SPAN 211 and SPAN 212 ; or Consent of Instructor Can be taken before or after SPAN 315. This course explores the semantics and pragmatics of the Spanish language, the historical development of Spanish, dialectal variation in the Spanish-speaking world, and the acquisition and teaching of Spanish as a second language.
