ANTH 106 - Culture and Communication: Introduction to Linguistic Anthropology Units: 3 Three hours lecture per week Surveys the study of communication from an anthropological perspective. Provides students with an overview of how humans interact and communicate using verbal and nonverbal language. Students learn how language both reflects and shapes thought, culture, and power/status.
