NRS 311 - Professional Role Transition Seminar Units: 2 Four hours lab per week Prerequisite(s): Admitted to the Track II Nursing Program or Consent of the Instructor. Corequisite(s): NRS 310 Provides the returning RN an opportunity to apply and discuss the nursing process and the delivery of nursing care based on current professional scope of practice, AACN Essentials of Baccalaureate for Professional Nursing Practice, the Neuman Systems Model, and reinforcing Quality and Safety in Nursing Education Competencies related to nursing practice in institutional and community settings. The seminar will focus on groups’ discussions of the implementation of the roles of the professional nurse generalist as a provider of care, teacher, patient advocate, designer and coordinator of care and member of the profession.
