DANCE 354 - Immersion into Modern/Contemporary Dance

Units: 3
Six hours activity per week
An immersion into modern/contemporary dance practices. Activities will focus on the embodied knowledge and development of modern dance from the mid- to the late-20th century. Students will examine the development of modern/contemporary dance as a function of diplomacy, protest, spectacle, anti-spectacle, and its growth because of technological developments. Effective fall 2022, changed from PADA 354. Repeat 2 times up to 6 units
