CHS 334 - Narratives of Southern California (Cross-listed as ENGL 334, HIST 334) Units: 3 Three hours lecture/discussion per week Prerequisite(s): Junior Standing and successful completion of Golden Four GE Areas (A1, A2, A3, B4) Ours is a region made up of many cultures, which produce the one we call Southern California. In this course, we will take a historical approach to study of the narratives - oral, written, and filmed - of Southern California. Course work may also include obtaining and compiling oral histories.
