ECS 471 - Preschool/Primary Student Teaching & Seminar

Fifteen hours field studies and one hour seminar per week
Prerequisite(s): Senior Standing, ECS 320, ECS 325, SPED 345/PSY 345
Corequisite(s): ECS 468, ECS 470
Student teaching in preschool and early elementary school settings. Students practice assessment and instructional strategies with children ages 3 through 8 years. Seminar is held in conjunction with the student teaching experience to serve as a forum for integrating research, theory, and recommended practices. Two full school days of student teaching per week. Fingerprint clearance is required.
