Senate Resolution Guidelines for placing programs on the Master Plan:
1. A balanced curriculum across the social and behavioral sciences, arts, humanities, sciences, business, education, and professional programs.
2. Programs which address the expected student characteristics
3. Programs which support the university’s mission statement, particularly in terms of interdisciplinarity, multiculturalism, innovation, and uniqueness
4. Cost of the program
5. Is the learning infrastructure in place to support the program (library, labs, etc.)?
6. A balance among undergraduate and graduate programs
7. Programs which support local infrastructure and community needs
8. Programs where the university has hired or intends to hire faculty
9. Priority in terms of immediate and long-term need
10. CSU systemwide distribution of programs
