Purpose: To establish policy on a minimum grade point average (GPA) for courses used to meet graduate degree requirements.

Background: Title 5 requirement: (4) A grade point average of 3.0 (grade of B) or better in all courses taken to satisfy the requirements for the degree, except that a course in which no letter grade is assigned shall not be used in computing the grade point average.

Applicability: All CSUCI graduate degree students

Policy:
A minimum grade point average of 3.0 (B) is required across all letter-graded courses taken to satisfy requirements for the graduate degree. Programs may implement stricter grade requirements.
