ART 433 - Women, Art, and Society Units: 3 Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite(s): Junior Standing and successful completion of Golden Four GE Areas (A1, A2, A3, B4) An investigation into the historical roles of women as artists and artistic subjects in Western and non-Western traditions. Diverse works of art will be explored from interdisciplinary perspectives encompassing art history, cultural, social and gender studies, and history.
