ART 341 - Goddesses and Heroes: Art of the Ancient World Units: 3 Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite: Junior standing or consent of instructor. Description: Discusses the main visual and architectural concepts developed within ancient cultures globally. Using examples from Greek and Roman antiquity as well as the ancient cultures of Mesopotamia, Egypt, Asia, and the Americas, explores the diverse artistic paradigms that emerged in the early stages of human civilization.
