EDUC 615 - Principles of Educational Research

Three hours lecture per week
Prerequisite: Admission to the Masters in Education Program and/or Preliminary Administrative Services Credential Program
Description: This course provides foundational knowledge about the principles of educational research in order to prepare students to conduct independent, disciplined inquiry and applied research in education. Drawing from qualitative, quantitative, and combined applications of research this core course is designed to guide students through a systematic study of the interrelated activities embedded in the development of a masters level research project. Constructing a research question, problem statement, and literature review will guide the preparation of a methodological plan. An IRB proposal (with associated documents) will be completed as well
