NRS 304 - Pharmacology of Nursing Practice II Units: 2 Two hours lecture per week Prerequisite: NRS 204 Basic principles of pharmacology with a focus on pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and related therapeutic implications with identification of drug classifications. Content focuses on drugs affecting the peripheral and central nervous system, electrolyte balance, cardiovascular system, and endocrine disorders, in addition to antiinflamatory, antiallergic and immunological drugs. Content will include drugs for skeletal, respiratory and gastrointestinal system as well as chemotherapeutic agents. Repeatable for a maximum of four units.
