NRS 232 - Nursing Care of Children and Families Units: 2 Two hours lecture per week Prerequisite: NRS 200 , NRS 201 , NRS 203 and PSY 213 Corequisite: NRS 233 Presents nursing concepts and theory related to health care of the infant, toddler, school-aged child, adolescent, and the family. Focuses on the care of families during childrearing years and includes both normal, high-risk conditions, and acute illness. Emphasizes health promotion, growth and development, and application of the Neuman Systems Model and the nursing process to promote adaptation.
