BIOL 333 - Emerging Public Health Issues

Three hours lecture per week
Prerequisite: Junior Standing or Consent of Instructor
Discussion of emerging infectious diseases and other health-related issues with global concerns such as AIDS, tuberculosis, sexually transmitted diseases, cardiovascular diseases, animal and bird diseases which may be transmitted to people, food and blood safety issues, environmental public health hazards, immigration, and weapons and their impact on human and animal populations in the world and the ecosystem. No credit given toward the Biology major.
