ART 433 - Women, Art, and Society

Three hours lecture per week
Prerequisite: Junior Standing or Consent of Instructor
An investigation into the historical roles of women as artists and artistic subjects in Western and non-Western traditions. Diverse works of art will be explored from interdisciplinary perspectives encompassing art history, cultural, social and gender studies, and history.
