Description: This course examines the broad arc of immigration history in the United States from the colonial period to the present. The course traces the diverse experiences of immigrants from Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. In addition to exploring the immigrant experience, the course analyzes the evolving relationship between immigration and constructions of race, ethnicity, and citizenship across time and place.
